BMW Van: The 2 Series Active Tourer
Though BMW hasn’t lunched a proper van yet, the Active Tourer of the series 2 is a premium car with similar facilities. It is a five-sit compact MPV that can serve multipurpose needs of the owner. Launched in August 2014, this BMW van became quite popular globally with its magnificent design and great features. Soon in 2015, the manufacturing company launched another model of this series named the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer. This one is also an MPV with seven seating facilities. These two models with an exclusive Mini Hatch (F55) is different than the other series two models.
Interestingly, BMW, the manufacturing brand, created these two models as their first front-wheel drive vehicles. Hence, soon after their launch, these two models made a direct competition with the premium cars like the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The sales of the BMW Active Tourer commenced in November 2014. It offers xDrive as an option. Though mechanically associated with the Mini Countryman, the design of this model is solely based on the Concept Active Tourer.
BMW Van: The Concept
The manufacturing brand BMW initiated to create the MPVs to serve specific purposes. The Active Tourer incorporates a hybrid technology, making the vehicle perfect for both on and off-road trips. This car follows the plug-in hybrid technology featuring a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder petrol engine. The design of this specific engine is sourced from the BMW six-cylinder engines. The synchronous electric motor boosts the energy of this vehicle. This car has a front tilted BMW radiator grille, and two LED positioning lights as headlights. Other features include lithium Ion battery, multi-faceted front apron, 40:20:40 split rear backrests and many more.
BMW Van: Magnificent Design
When it comes to the design, we find this car as a typical reflection of the BMW aesthetic. The initial high reflection silver hue of this premium car made it one of the best looking vans available. This car has a panorama sunroof that allows the passengers to adjust their brightness electronically. There is a centrally located vertical metal track. It is located right at the back of its front seats. Also, this car has an instrument display with a multi-function facility. It comes with a wide 10.25-inch screen. The multicolor display automatically adapts the brightness according to the natural light source. The navigation of this car is operated through an 8-inch display. This car ensures both ECO PRO modes with coasting mode.
BMW F45: The Ultimate 2 Series Active Tourer
The famous brand BMW incepted this model in 2014. Some of the early models of this one are 218i, 225i, 218d, 220d, and 220i. There are sport specifications too in some of the models. These features include high gloss shadow line exterior trim, interior trim with aluminum hexagon shape, M Sport aerodynamic styling, suspension and interior with M Sports facility. These features make the sport variations highly acclaimed in the global arena. The M package models come with an Estoril Blue body color. Also, the eight-speed automatic gearbox is one of the greatest innovations by BMW so far.
